A weekend in Vancouver

Back in the beginning of December my mom, Karly Auntie, Logan and I took a little trip down to Vancouver to see family. I took a Friday off so we could get an early start, which in my family means leaving at least an hour after the set time. We had the car packed and no joke fully loaded. In a car that seats 8 there was not an inch of extra leg room! The ride down there was pretty uneventful minus the 5 stops before we hit I-5. Logan was great in the car. He just ate and watched t.v. So it was basically like a normal day for him! We had a great weekend visiting with Aunts, Uncles and cousins who we love but never get to see. There was Christmas shopping for some and handball and lunch for others. Logan got to have a sleep over with cousin Emi who will be 4 in May. They just had the best time. If only we all lived closer. It was a short weekend but much needed and great to see the family. We love you guys!

How many binkys can Bubba fit in his mouth?

Cousin Brooke was just starting to crawl when we were there!

Brooke and Brayden playing with the cookie jar. I cleaned house and brought down some toys that Logan doesn't play with anymore, or never knew he had........

The basketball hoop was a big hit with all the kids!
Little Brayden...my second favorite boy! He is the sweetest thing ever. I miss you!

And now for the HIGHLIGHT of the weekend.......photos of the little ones. Let me tell you this was no easy task. It is hard enough to get a semi decent picture of Logan, let alone 3 other children. But with a little chocolate magic and a lot of people being funny we might have managed a good one.

A Birthday Party For Finley

So Logan and his BFF are 2 days apart and she celebrated her 2nd birthday the day after him. We had a weekend filled with party's, people and cake. Basically my favorite things! So we headed down to the Neuenschwander's to celebrate sweet Finley's special day. we had a great time. When I wasn't looking my darling child was sneaking grapes, berries and chocolates into his mouth and feeding this little child who was sleeping on the couch. Don't worry, its Finley's baby. At one point he pulling a doll out of a basket and had it upside down and smelled her feet and looked and me and said "stinky" like we pretend to do with feet at home. I about died.
Anyways....Meghan threw a lovely party straight out of a Martha Stewart magazine and I wish I could be more like her!

Walking up to the party

Logan and Finley

I have never seen a child so timid when it comes to cake, but then again she isn't related to me.....

The amazing mom Meghan and the precious birthday girl Finley!

Happy Birthday Bubba!!!

Several months over due but better late than never! Way back in October 2009 we celebrated Logan's 2nd birthday! We had a great party with a bunch of friends and some family. I spent the whole time opening presents while Logan ran around. I think it took me 2 hours. His favorite part of course was the cake.
Below are a few pictures of the day, of course not in any order....I hate this thing!

This may have been his 1st piece of cake and ice cream but don't be fooled he had a cup cake prior!

Last year Logan got his own cake since he was turning 1 and it was special, this year we had a big cake and cupcakes and I think he still needs his own "special" cake. That boy likes his CAKE!

His new BIKE from Grandma and Grandpa Schwartz. He rode it around inside the house for weeks.
The balloons we the biggest hit of the party. These followed him everywhere. On the couch, up the stairs. I am surprised the didn't make it to bed with him!!

Lake Chelan Vaca with Meghan and Finley

Way back in July, Logan I were invited to go to Lake Chelan with our bestest buddies Meghan and Minley (as Logan calls her). I was able to sneak away from work for a few days and enjoy a nice LONG weekend with 3 of my favorite people. The kids got along 97% of the time, Logan learned lots of new words, we only had a few minor scares and Meghan and I got some much needed time to catch up. All in all it was a great week! Thanks guys for inviting us.......

Playing with the fancy bubble machine....this didn't last long before it was dumped over

After the dead mans float in the lake.......thankfully he was a bit nervous to go back in!!

This is before they realized that they had the other ones shovel.....

One of the many cute poses that Finley did for me! Isn't she a doll?!

Logan giving Minley a love.......

Just making some music after bath time......These toys were a hit on the trip....literally!

Finely in her new floaty swimsuit....The kids REFUSED to go in their floaties from last year which made the pool not so much fun. During nap time one day, Meg ran to Wally World to pick up an alternative which was a success!

Does this look familiar? We took the same picture a year ago....My how they have grown

We took the kiddos to the water park one day and had a blast! There was a great toddler area that they spent hours in! We even ventured off into the scary part of the park and went on the big slides with the kids. Logan LOVED it!

Bye Lake Chelan! See you soon!

Happy Father's Day Jeremy

This year we did a little something different for father's day. I tried to think of something that Jeremy really enjoyed doing that would be a fun thing for Logan. I came up with 2 ideas and presented them to Jeremy. Mariners Gamer or Emerald Dawns and by the pictures you can see what he decided. So we went to the race track for the day and had a great time. I think Logan is still a bit too young. But maybe by next year he will enjoy it a bit more. I think Jeremy appreciated it however. Maybe we will make this a tradition?

Chuck E Cheese

Logan and I spent an afternoon at chuck e cheese with our friends Melissa, Chea, and their 2 girls Kali and Keira. Keira and Logan are about 1 year apart and stuck close to the kiddie toys. They seemed to have a pretty good time. Kali was even nice enough to take them up on the big climbing maze. They all had a great time and enjoyed ice cream after!
