A little behind......

Usually I am all over updating the blog like white on rice, but for those of you who don't know I started a job Monday and haven't been good with the blog because A haven't been around to take pictures of our adorable LoLo and B do not have any motivation to blog at night. I know lame huh?! Work! whats work?! I have been sooooooo lucky to have spent the past 12 months and 10 days off from work, but it has come time to face the music and go back to work! So there is my lame reason for being backed blogged.

I have come to enjoy my time with Logan and Jeremy so much more. We don't get alot of time together now during the weeks, but we a making the most of it. the best part of my day is walking in the door and seeing Logan light-up when he sees me. Thankfully Logan has been in a good mood both nights and we have had a blast just hanging out.

A party for BUBBA

Last Saturday, we celebrated Bubba's 1st birthday. We had a HUGE party at Grandma and Grandpa's with all our family and closest friends. Logan I stayed over night Friday to get things ready for the big day. I was up until 3am frosting cakes, yes I said cakes. I made 3! So needless to say after 7 batches of homemade frosting I was satisfied with the outcome. I was hoping for a stress-free Saturday morning.....but things didn't exactly go my way. I thought that I was more organized than I was and I was wrong. I had to feed and dress Logan, dress myself and set out the food and somehow find a battery charger for my camera all in 10 seconds............but somehow I made it through the day. Things went great Logan was happy,happy, happy as usual and just a doll. We made it through what seemed like a years worth of presents, followed by cake and ice cream. Thank you to all our friends and family for helping us celebrate such a special day! We love you all!!!

Logan's 1st Birthday

Logan woke up in a great mood today......he must have sensed something was up. We started the morning off by singing happy birthday and playing with his new present from mom and dad......a new elmo doll. It does all sorts of fun things and Lolo loves it. Then we had lunch with our besties at Zoopas. what a great place to take the kids to eat. There is such a variety of finger foods for them and plenty of stuff for mommies too. After lunch we headed to the doctor for some shots. I know, I know. Nice birthday present....4 shots, but Logan was great. He was his happy drooly self at the doctors. He weighs........drumroll........25.4 lbs and is in the 80% and is 29.5 inches long and is in the 50th%. The shots were traumatic but Logan got over it quite fast when he was presented with a big present from the girls at daddy's work. We are planning on resting up tonight so we can part-y tomorrow.

One year ago today we welcomed you into this world and our lives have forever changed. You are the most precious thing in the world and and I couldn't have asked for a better baby. This past year has been so exciting and I am amazed how much you have grown. Happy 1st Birthday Logan Merrill! We love you so beary much!

A present for LOGAN!!!!

We got a notice yesterday that Master Logan had a package. The office was already closed for the night and we had to wait until today to get it. After a very long morning nap, Logan and I headed up to the office to get his package. We brought it home and patiently waited for Jeremy to get home to open it. Logan was that interested it the package itself, he wanted the paper. We finally got it open to reveal the cutest Denver Bronco's Sweatshirt ever! Thanks Auntie Lorie and Uncle Bob! We can't wait for the big game this weekend for Logan to wear it.

I have attempted only ONCE to give Logan my favorite vegetable.....Broccoli, which proved to be his least favorite. I decided it was time to try again. I am getting bored of giving Logan the same old thing for dinner so I thought I'd try it again. I pulled some frozen broccoli florets out of the freezer and microwaved them and sprinkled some Mrs. dash on them. It was a hit. Logan loved his little green trees.

Quest for the PERFECT Pumpkin

Today I meet my sister Brie and the pumpkin patch with Logan. We had this planned for weeks in advance and I am soooooo glad that we had nice weather!!!!! We had been debating about going to Remlinger Farms and doing the whole "fall harvest" deal, but Remlinger Farms on a Sunday during the fall is not my cup of tea. So we opted for a smaller pumpkin patch out in BFE.....actually it was just in Carnation and its one we used to go to when we were younger to get pumpkins. I was on a mission for 3 perfect pumpkins for our perfect family and Brie was on a hunt for 2. 5 pumpkins total doesn't sound like a problem, but then you need to take into account that we have Logan who cannot walk on his own, my bag and a wheelbarrow and only 2 of us to complete this mission. We did it believe it our not and found 5 pumpkins weighing over 100 pounds. We had a great time1 Logan enjoyed playing in the pumpkin patch and banging on the pumpkins as well as eating the dirt......good parenting I know. On our way out, we spot to see the baby cows. Logan was so brave he let the cow lick his hand not once but several times. I can't wait to crave our wonderful pumpkins!
