A weekend in the sun

Summer is finally here! I believe we are going on our 10th day of dry weather and we have no idea how to handle it. I bet target is totally sold out of fans. Anyways....we had a much needed visit from Grandma and Grandpa Schwartz this past weekend. We haven't seen them since Mother's day and Logan has changed so much in a month. Jeremy and his dad were able to get in a round of golf Saturday for a late father's Day gift, while Linda and I stayed at home with Logan. We took a stroll to Starbucks with Logan and sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. Later we went to their hotel and swam. There was not another sole around. Logan LOVED it1 He was able to swim with all of us. This was Jeremy's first time seeing Logan in the pool. Later we went to a really nice dinner in Issaquah at the Iris Grill. I was totally nervous because it was such a nice place and my child was screaming happily at the top of his lungs while dropping smushed banana on the floor the whole time. Sunday we went to Grandma Patti's to play in the pool and grass. Logan enjoyed some cool and refreshing watermelon and played with the hose. When we got home we thought we'd head down to the pool to cool off which worked well. In the kiddie pool Logan can touch the bottom and walk around while hes in his crab. It was so cute to watch him. Its like an exersaucer in the water. We love weekends like these.

Logan's new trick.......drinking outof the faucet. Ihave no idea where he learned this, but he loves it. I don't even need to get him a cup anymore!!

Evening bath

So Logan's new favorite thing to do is bang his toys together. It doesn't matter which ones, and if he doesn't have any toys, he'll take yours. He loves to do this in the bath. Along with that, he really enjoys playing with his toy alligator. I think he may have a future on Animal Plant as the next croc wrestler.

Park play date

Meghan and Finley came over the other day to visit and play with us. After successful dual naps, we packed up the kids grabbed and ice cream cone and headed to the park. It was such a nice day we wanted to get out. The kids enjoyed a snack and Meg and I chatted. We look forward to many more summer days like this!!!

Scary cab ride
We ended the night at Dick's for burgers and fries. Ran into some men from the DPD. Thats the Dicks Police Department for those of you who don't know and had a very interesting ride home. Shahid was our cab driver and quite possibly the nicest man ever, tho his driving was nothing to write home about. I think our drunk selves could have drove better than he did, and he was getting paid!!!!!! Oh well we made it and had a great night. Until next year........

The 1st day of SUMMER!!!!!

The 1st day of summer actually brings warm weather. Hooray!!!!! We love the sunshine. This afternoon, Logan and I met Auntie Meghan and Finley at one of our favorite parks. We've only been there a few times and there was hardly any people, which was not the case today. Along with the 1st day of summer, school is out as well and there was people everywhere. Luckily we were able to find a small patch of available grass to lay our blankets down for the kids to play. We had a great time. Auntie Meghan blew bubbles, Logan pulled the grass, and both kiddos enjoyed playing in/with the sand. I still wanted to take advantage of the weather and daylight once got home so Jeremy and I took Logan up to the pool. We are still unsure if the pool is actually open or not, but we decided to go in anyways. Well actually Logan and I did. Jeremy was to chicken to get in. The "heated" pool is not heated nor warm at all and has yet to be cleaned. I figured a few bugs in the water isn't going to hurt Logan considering the fact that he ate sand and grass all afternoon......boys will be boys ya know. We finished off the night with some playtime out front in the grass. We all enjoyed the time together and had a great 1st day of summer!!!!! Lets hope we have many, many more days like these!!!!!
